Our Founder

Leisha Williams, born as Leisha Morales, born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and raised in the Lower East Side, New York is the Founder and Owner of Bori, originally known as Leisha's Empanadas. Bori was created in 2020 in Linthicum Heights, MD. During the pandemic Leisha wanted to give back to the first responders and the only way she knew how was to do it in a way that she would enjoy. Wanting to make this good deed extra special, she decided to make her own Pastelillo dough and dipping sauce from scratch. Soon after dropping off the food to the Nurses, Police Department and Fire Department she was overwhelmed with so much positive feedback and requests on Facebook about maybe considering selling them. That is how this business was born and we are forever grateful for those that have supported this small business.
